The duration of the project will often affect the price of the virtual data room as a vendor typically provides an initial price for specific number of months and then charges month-to-month following that. Certain vendors, like DealRoom offer discounts for M&A transactions and also offer the option of rescinding the contract after the transaction is completed. This is particularly beneficial for businesses that are not sure of how long their project will last.
